OPENING NIGHT WITH THE CAVALIERS

Posted November 04, 2013

Last Tuesday was a landmark day for the NBA Math Hoops Cleveland Chapter Initiative. Students at Luis Muñoz Marín School were joined by Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard C.J. Miles for NBA Math Hoops Opening Night. Students from participating 7th and 8th grade classrooms played Math Hoops, danced with the Cavaliers' mascots, and participated in a Q&A and autograph session with the Cavs star. We're so thankful for our friends at the Cavaliers, Esperanza, and LMM who helped to make memories for this awesome group of students.

Luis Muñoz Marín School is one of forty partcipating sites across the Cleveland, Northeast Ohio, and Columbus areas. Learn Fresh, in association with NBA Cares, has donated over 450 games to schools and after school programs in the state, laying the foundation for the first of several long-term initiatives in NBA cities around the country.
